The Santavenere estate is on the SS 145, the main road to Pienza, not far from the gorgeous city of Montepulciano. Easily accessible, it hosts international visitors who want to familiarise themselves with how we produce Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Opening times

Monday and Tuesday,  9 am–1.30 pm
From Wednesday to Friday, 9 am-7 pm
Saturday-Sunday, 11 am-7 pm

From November to March, Monday-Friday, 9 am–1 pm.

Personalised tastings, booked in advance, may include a selection of typical cold meats and cheeses or typical Tuscan bruschette (toasted bread with toppings), using olive oil produced at La Madonnina in Greve in Chianti.

Visitors who are just passing through can taste the wines, tour the cellar, with its special architectural features, and purchase the entire range of Triacca wines (Tuscany and Valtellina) from our wine shop. Renata and Sara are happy to organize and host visits for wine connoisseurs and provide further information as required.

There will soon be the opportunity to rent two splendid apartments of different sizes, perfectly integrated into this lovely setting.

Nobile di

weingut santavenereSantavenere

The Montepulciano appellation extends across the Val di Chiana. The majority of the vineyards lie on gentle slopes at altitudes between 250 and 600 masl.
Here, near the Umbrian border, the climate is hotter than in northern Tuscany.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is classified DOCG, as is the Chianti Classico, and it's obtained from the Sangiovese grape but exhibits different characteristics.
