Visit La Madonnina

Welcome to La Madonnina

The splendid La Madonnina estate lies at the heart of Greve in Chianti, surrounded by 400 hectares of land, 100 of which are used for vines and the remainder for olive groves, woodland and crops.
This is the beating heart of our Chianti Classico production, and both La Madonnina and the neighbouring La Colombaia, 5 minutes away by car, offer typical Tuscan apartments of various sizes to rent.

Tours of the cellar must be booked in advance but you can always go for a walk between the rows of vines on the gentle hills surrounding the grange, enjoy the way the region's history can be gleaned from the countryside, and maybe come across a friendly animal.

You'll find Marzia, Romano and Luca ready to welcome you to La Madonnina.

Nobile di

The Montepulciano appellation extends across the Val di Chiana. The majority of the vineyards lie on gentle slopes at altitudes between 250 and 600 masl.
Here, near the Umbrian border, the climate is hotter than in northern Tuscany.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is classified DOCG, as is the Chianti Classico, and it's obtained from the Sangiovese grape but exhibits different characteristics.
